Currently ships are generally operating around 30% secure (depending on their speed and freeboard) with minimum security measures and procedures that offer any resistance against an aggressive hostile attack with intent on boarding. Ultimately the complete security solution is attainable and NEMESIS 5000 is in a position to provide that capability. The owner/operator needs to weigh the cost of such a solution against the current risk profile.

We will conduct a Nemesis survey on your vessel, to determine location, quantity and fitment of Nemesis units aboard within the existing fire pump system, complete a training, installation and commissioning package for the crew. The crew then do it all.

We will then conduct a superstructure survey on hardening access control from external decks with recommendations on the physical security equipment, measures and procedures to be amended in the current Ship Security Plan. The crew then do it all.

We will then conduct a superstructure survey on hardening access control from external decks with recommendations on the physical security equipment, measures and procedures to be amended in the current Ship Security Plan. We will assign Sea Marshals aboard as part of the crew during a transit to train the crew in Anti Piracy procedures and implement the piracy security measures needed throughout the transit. With skilled security operatives aboard the vessels in a defensive role this will improve the security to around 95% secure. We will supply qualified former Special Forces personnel to detect, deter and respond to incidents, train the crew and advise the Master on the contingency plans when under attack.

Under the authorization of the Flag Administration and company “use of fire arms” policy.

Calculated against a ship being hijacked and held hostage to ransom for a current minimum of two months, the cost of effective Sea Marshals is a small price in comparison for safety and security throughout a particular transit corridor.

Our over-riding mission will always be to maintain the security and safety of the crew, thereby allowing the Master to remain in control and manoeuvre the ship out of danger during a sustained piratical attack.
